Films to Love

Time travel powered by the sparks of your first kiss.

Wedding Montages from Northern California

A family heirloom suffused with the never-ending-summer light of your love.

A song bound by the rhythms and meaning of the day.

A bookmark to your favorite poem. A dance of your tribe witnessing an eternal pledge.

A fresh spring of joyous tears, years after, renewing your bond amidst unexpected adventures.

A story of your transformation forged in the crucible of ancient ceremony.

An RSVP from every human you adore on a evening that ends far too quickly.

A Solstice Studio film.

Hi there, I’m Wyatt…

I’m a Santa Cruz native honored to capture weddings for over twenty years. My filming style is photojournalistic. I keep a low-profile and let the experience itself tell your story. I shoot with natural light, use subtle cinematic movement, and won’t direct a single pose. You might even forget I’m there. My approach isn’t for every couple, but the result is a portal to authentic memories and deepest feelings without end.

I also know when to step up and help the logistics of the day. Or crack a few Dad-jokes. I’ll follow your photographer’s tempo and I love to collaborate. I’ve worn a lot of different event hats over the years – managing a boutique historic venue in DC, officiating many friend’s weddings, and designing and hosting my family’s over-the-top cinema-themed party on the Summer Solstice every year (hence the brand name).

On the rare occasion I’m just a wedding guest, I usually still bring my camera and favorite lens. The gift of a wedding film is a treasure I deeply cherish creating.

“I mean this when I say you’ve forever changed my perspective on videographers at weddings. We’ve watched your video countless times & cry every time.

The best gift ever.”

— SAVANNAH HAYES, BRIDE (& PHOTOGRAPHER)

Can’t thank you enough Wyatt! We love everything about this day and this video!”

— LAUREN CARSON, BRIDE

“👏👏👏 I loved watching this day again! This wedding day coverage is everything!”

— MINDY WEBB, PHOTOGRAPHER

“The video is absolutely magical. We were both in tears this morning watching for the first time. Such a gift to relive those moments.”

— COLIN GAILEY, GROOM

Process and Pricing

I shoot less than a dozen weddings per year.

For me, filming weddings is more vocation than profession. During the week I’m a geek fixing IT things for the County of Santa Cruz.

The bulk of your investment pays for the time spent editing the final film. My 2025 rate is $4,800 for 8 hours of coverage, which I edit into a one-song montage.

Let’s find out if I’m available on your weekend and then we can schedule a time to meet virtually to chat. I look forward to hearing from you and wish you the best on your journey to celebrating the first day of your marriage.
